Message from Lee (promoter/DJ)

Hello party goers,

I thought I'd drop y'all a line to say thanks for coming to the big shindig on Mt Glorious last Friday night. I had a cracking time and from where I stood it looked like you did too.

If you're wondering how I got your email address, you may recall a girl walking around with a clipboard and a torch demanding this info from you between 10 and 12pm. She did a good job because I now have 66 of them in all. I promise only to contact you for party-related reasons though, nothing else. And for your privacy, I'm doing the BCC thing.

As it goes, I'm working on my next party right now. It'll be quite different from the one we just had. In a nutshell: I'll be booking a venue in West End and will showcase some different deejays to shake you down.

I hope you weren't too sketchy after NYE and made it home safe and without running into the cops.

Well, this was one hell of a good party. It all started about 18:00 on NYE and ended (abruptly) when the cops showed up at 05:30 the next morning and put a stop to the music. Right in the middle of my set !!! Apparently, there were 24 complaints starting at about 21:00. Might have something to do with the fact that there was 5000 watts of sound pumping down over the valley. Tee-hee. Oh well, at least I'll be able to tell people that I got busted on the decks during my first set out of the bedroom :)

Some of you may have noticed that we were recording the night directly onto my laptop. We have over 11 hours of non-stop music from that night in high quality MP3 format. The only problem is that it's taking ages to upload the files. They are divided into 65 min chunks so that you can burn them to CD but each file is about 121 megs in size !!! Once they are all uploaded, I'll update this page with links to the files.

UPDATE (2005/04/13)
The uploading of the files has taken ages as they are all over 100 Megs in size but I'm almost done. Check back in about a week and there should be links here to the music we recorded that night...

I've had to save space on my website so if anyone wants the audio files, just email me at djsylv@sylvainw.com and let me know which ones you want and I'll burn you a CD/DVD with them...
