Just a quick note to say thanks to all the people that I met at the festival this past weekend. I love the Dutch !!! They are just as crazy as Canadians :)

I'd especially like to thank the crazy campervan people that let me stay with them the first night of the festival. It was very cold but at least I had a place to lay down and put my feet up. On top of the steering wheel as I was sprawled across the two front seats of the van. And I'm well impressed that we were able to get 12 people into a Volkswagen campervan on the second night. Wicked. Bring on Lowlands in August !!!

Of course, no weekend away would be complete without being stopped by the police. That's exactly what happened at 4 in the morning on the second night of the festival. I stayed behind with the camper van people while Marc biked home when the festival finished at 1am. Not wanting to spend another freezing night in the van, I decided that I'b be able to remember my way home as it was only about a 15 min bike ride. So off I went and got lost about 6 mins into the ride. Of course, there are roads in Holland that you're not allowed to drive your bike on (who knew) and I got caught on one AND going the wrong way. After having some very firm Dutch directed my way, I explained that I was a poor lost Canadian who didn't speak any Dutch. Thankfully, they were nice officers and after telling me to get back on the side roads, they drove off. Of course, without helping me find my way home :) I eventually did make it in after about 45 mins of driving around in circles...

Marc, thanks for putting me up for the weekend. Quite look forward to you coming to London and also returning to Holland for more big weekends. Dank u...
